Smoking tyres at Santa Pod
Moss staff member gets a smoking start as he thunders down the quarter mile stretch at Santa Pod.
Research & Development & Triumph guru at Moss Europe Adam Chignell races his Triumph MkII 2.5 PI Saloon at Santa Pod during Triumpfest organised by the TSSC. For the quarter mile straight he got a pretty respectable time of 17.3 seconds considering the beast weighs about a tonne & a half! Oh and he was racing his son who was in his mum’s MkIII Spitfire. Not to mention that he towed his caravan to and from the event with the same car he drag raced! After all they do say ‘run what ya brung’! Adam first got the bug for the Santa Pod drag race when he first raced his Vitesse there back in 1986 with his mate Darren Ramsey in his Viva GT
