Goodwood Revival 2017 As It Happened.

Thousands of classic motorsport fans once again made their annual pilgrimage to the historic Goodwood Circuit to celebrate the legacy of the iconic racing venue at the Goodwood Revival. Visitors dressed in period outfits in homage to the era in which the circuit was first used for motorsport competition between 1948 & 1966. Despite some wet weather, the weekend was a complete success and one of the best in recent years with hair-raising on track action & lots to do throughout the grounds.

Attendees immediately became immersed in the sights and sounds of the glory days of classic British motorsport and spent the weekend exploring the hundreds of stalls that offer everything from engine oil to vintage clothing, a barber shop and even a drive-in cinema! But best of all, visitors had the opportunity to see priceless classics that rarely appear in public, let alone go racing!

This year the event focused on celebrating 60 years of the Fiat 500 with a colourful parade around the track and the Settrington Cup, a fiercely competitive pedal car race that both young and old take very seriously. The breadth and stature of classics on display makes this event unlike any other and the atmosphere never fails to restore the romance and drama of the era and returns everyone back to those halcyon days of the Goodwood Circuit.
