Happy New Year to all of our Moss followers! To kick off the new year we have selected 10 essential dates you won’t want to miss and need to add to your calendar for 2017.


1. Retromobile Paris (8-12 Feb)

Retromobile Paris is the perfect event to start the classic motoring season. This well-established event is one you won’t want to miss. Offering a great collection of fascinating exhibitions and countless booths to explore. The Retromobile is where the legends of the great marques meet.


2. MG & TR Spares Day (19 Feb)

MG and Triumph fans flock to this event every year to see the best MG and Triumph car clubs exhibiting. With owners and experts on hand to offer detailed advice and answer any questions you may have. You will find evertthing you need at the show.


3. Goodwood 75th Members’ Meeting (18-19 March)

The Goodwood Members Meetings have quickly become as impressive and unmissable as the Revival. With an unbeatable selection of cars and a glamorous evening party all set in the unique atmosphere of Goodwood, but without the crowds. It is understandable why this is becoming such a popular event. This event is particularly popular with enthusiasts thanks to its history as circuit remains virtually unchanged from the 50s and 60s.


4. PC Classic Show NEC (31 march- 2 April)

This event gets bigger and better every year! It is the fastest growing classic car event with over 19,000 enthusiasts and 700 classic cars on display. Bringing together all aspects of classic motoring, from stunning restorations, all of the great marques, with demonstrations and displays from motoring experts and celebrities.


5. The MX-5 OC Spring Rally (23 April)

The MX-5 Owners Club is the world’s largest club for owners and fanatics of the world’s best-selling sports car, established in 1994 the club now has 6,500 members. They host an annual spring rally where members from all over the country gather, with up to 1500 cars attending.


6. Mille Miglia (18-21 May)

This is the event true motor sport enthusiasts loathe to miss. The Mille Miglia retrospective offers its entrants the chance to recreate the 1,000-mile route driven by so many motor sporting legends. Mille Miglia is a dangerous endurance contest but is a dream race destination for many as it combines the history and heritage of the original circuit with the stunning scenery and culture of Italy.


7. MG Live! (17-18 June)

MG Live! Is the MG Car Club’s annual reception held at Silverstone. The two-day event is a celebration of one of motoring’s greatest marques. Where you can learn all about the much loved make through displays and exhibitions. This is the only weekend show on the MG calendar so if you are a MG fan this is one not to miss.


8. TR Register International Weekend (7-9 July)

If you are a Triumph owner and fan then an event you won’t want to miss is the TR Register Show. It is the largest celebration of Triumph TRs in the world this year, celebrating 50 years of the TR5/TR250X the first of the 6 cylinder TRs. This is the only weekend show on the Triumph calendar so don’t miss it.


9. Silverstone Classic (28-30 July)

Enjoy a packed weekend at Silverstone Classic this summer and witness some of the greatest classics racing on the world famous circuit. Tickets include free access to paddocks, grandstands and displays from over 100 car clubs featuring more than 10,000 classic cars, plus this year see the celebrity race where some famous faces are let loose around the circuit, the line-up is said to include celebrity chef Hestoon Blumenthal, comedian Stan Boardman, Dragon’s Den star Theo Paphitis, snooker icon Dennis Taylor and many others celebrity personalities will be joining them. There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy including live music, air displays, a vintage fun fair and a shopping village.


10. Goodwood Revival (8-10 Sept)

Take a trip back to the past at the iconic Goodwood Revival. An occasion unlike any other where enthusiasts from around the globe descend dressed in their finest period clothing to soak up the atmosphere. Watch the world’s best classic racing cars do battle on the circuit just as they did during its original period between 1948-1966. Probably the best classic car event in the world!
