Engine Shield, Cobalt

The MX-5 comes with a flimsy plastic engine undertray that is prone to deterioration and cracking, especially when being removed 30 years after construction. Once this factory piece is compromised, dirt debris and excessive amounts of water can get on your engine and belts leading to increased maintenance along with reduced cooling efficiency due toa reduction in proper air ducting through the radiator. Cobalt engineers have developed a replacement shield to protect your engine, radiator, oil sump and all other vital engine parts from damage. Using aluminium construction to ensure it is a rock solid addition to your MX-5, the Cobalt engine shield will perform the same functions as your original undertray - only better.

The Cobalt shield reuses the factory bolt and screw locations. If you want to replace those grungy OEM bolts, upgrade to the Bright Bolts and Screws kit (907-302) to really finish off the beautiful look.

Note:
- 1999-2000 Need a spacer kit for clearance of the AC system.
- Will not currently work with Cobalt radiator 908-140 and some early cars radiator drain plugs will not line up.
