Air splitters are designed to protect your front bumper and air dam. Modern bumpers are made from flexible urethane to allow flexing when bumped, but the painted surfaces are still vulnerable to scratches and scrapes. Air splitters help protect your bumper by extending the protection around the front perimeter. The original version is made from 1/8" thick, high-impact ABS plastic and the Extreme version is 1/4". The top surface has a black, textured finish, while the underside has a smooth finish that easily slides over steep approach angles.
