Five Speed Conversion Kit, Type 2, LHD

Please note: TF models also require supplemental adaptor kit 041-510 for the bumper tie bar and fan spacer modifications.

In this version the engine stays in its normal position. A piece approx. 200mm (8 inches) is removed centrally from the gearbox supporting chassis tube. This piece is removed and retained. It can be rewelded back into position if the car is required to be returned to original. A new crossmember piece is supplied which bolts onto the two chassis tube stubs. This crossmember is very strong and restores the chassis strength to normal. The gearbox rubber mounting is attached to the crossmember. Floor rail supports are fixed to the crossmember.
