XJ X300 & X308 (1994-2002)

Jaguar XJ X300 1994 to 2002 Parts & Accessories

By 1994, the Ford Motor Company was having a profound effect on Jaguar and the X300 was the first car produced entirely under Ford ownership. The Jaguar X300 was an evolution of the XJ40 with a softer more traditional Jaguar look. It also represented a significant improvement of reliability and build quality due to extensive use of manufacturing robotics. The X300 was available with the AJ16 inline six in 3.2 litre, 4.0 litre, and 4.0 litre supercharged engines. It was also offered with the Jaguar 6.0 litre V12 engine. Long and short wheelbase versions were available with the short only available in the Sport versions.
Introduced with the X300 was the XJR model featuring the Eaton supercharged 4.0 litre inline six engine producing 326 bhp and 380 ft lbs of torque. Jaguar produced 92,000 of these XJR models.
The X308 design was much like the X300 with only a few minor external trim changes. The big news was the introduction of a new V8 engine in 3.2 litre, 4.0 litre and 4.0 litre supercharged in the XJR models. The XJR was becoming more popular and represented over 15,000 of the 126,000 X308 models produced.
