Pertronix Ignitor - T Type

These completely self-contained electronic ignition units offer a simple alternative to traditional points and condenser arrangement. They are easy to install with no external control boxes to mount and only two wires to hook up and no permanent modifications involved.

The unit uses a lobe sensing, sealed Hall Effect sensor that is impervious to dirt, dust, moisture, or vibration, and retains standard advance curve. Unaffected by distributor shaft wear, maintains firing accuracy to within 1/4 degree, reduces spark scatter over the full rpm range.

The kits include a rotor arm, fittings and instructions.

This new design of lobe sensing unit is suitable for all distributor cam types, symmetric, asymmetric or high lift. High Lift Cams were installed in units with the suffix E or subsequent letters.

As a rule of thumb, the MG TC and early MG TD had an Asymmetric cam. The later MG TD and some of the MG TF had a Symmetric cam. The later MG TF had a High Lift cam.
