Close ratio gears cure the problem of the car coming off cam by losing engine speed during a gear change. This set of straight cut gears provide increased reliability through being substantially stronger. The ratios are also modified to give closer spacing between second and third gears. Ratios: 1st 2.54, 2nd 1.73, 3rd 1.25, 4th 1.1. The set of gears includes the first motion shaft, second gear, third gear and matching lay gear. It does not include 1st or reverse gear, as it works with the originals, we would recommend fitting a new 1st gear ring and reverse gear along with the set. Alternatively, you can fit one of our complete brand new close ratio gearboxes.
