For Standard Engines - The following are exchange rebuilt distributors with improved advance curves for basically standard cars. The unit for cars with HS4 carburettors employs the later type of advance curve for improved economy, while the HIF item uses a redesigned curve which will reduce run on tendencies when the engine is hot. These are supplied with points and condenser, but minus the cap and rotor arm.
For Modified Engines - Modified engines running with an uprated cam profile or further improvements may use distributors with reduced advance curves for better top end power. Again, these are supplied with points and condenser, but minus the cap and rotor arm. They are both Lucas type 45D units. For Modified MGC Engines - Rebuilt distributor with a reduced advance curve; designed for fast road & racing applications with SU or Weber carburettors. Exchange only.
