Centre Lock Hub Conversion Kit

Convert your conventional steel wheel rear and front hubs to accept splined hubs, enabling the fitting of either chrome wire wheels or centre lock alloy wheels.

This is a straightforward operation, though there is more than one route you can take to fit classic centre lock wheels to your MGA. The simple way to convert to wire wheels is to use our conversion kit. These kits use special hub adaptors for the rear axle, which simply fit against the brake drum. This means that expensive and complicated changing of drive shafts and hubs is not necessary. The front conversion is done using original type wire wheel front hubs to replace the steel wheel type. Existing bearings and seals are retained, but if their condition is questionable please replace them. The kits contains front hubs, rear hub adaptors & special nuts, 2-eared spinners, copper & hide mallet and necessary hardware.

The conversion kits do not include road wheels, you can choose from painted or chrome wire or our knock-on Minilites to suit your requirements. Check local regulations for eared spinners.
