When replacing brake discs and pads, it is essential that you remember to clean the surfaces of the discs with brake cleaner to remove the oil used for storage and to remove the reservoir cap before pushing the pistons back into the calipers.
Check your brake fluid level at every oil change to ensure it is above the 'minimum' level. Change the fluid every two years to ensure there are no contaminents or moisture in the fluid. If moisture has contaminated the fluid, it can corrode it from the inside out.
