The Jaguar Mark I was a British saloon car produced by Jaguar between 1955-1959. There were 2 variations in engine available, both being the 2.4 litre and the 3.4 litre. The 2.4 litre was the company’s first small saloon since the end of its 1.5 litre and 2.5 litre cars in 1949 and was an immediate success in the motoring world.
The Mark II was introduced in 1959 and was in production until 1967 and continued Jaguars run of medium sized saloon cars as a natural progression. The Mark II also saw a name change, changing to Jaguar 240 and Jaguar 340 respectively.
