I have had Minis since I passed my test at 17. I’ve had my current road Mini, Bertie, for 17 years. As well as Bertie and Betty, I also have a Mk1 MG Midget and a Suzuki SV650S motorbike. You could say I’m a bit of a petrol head!
I have worked for Moss Europe since 2006 which has certainly helped fuel my passion for classic cars, especially Minis! I started racing in the Mighty Minis Championship in 2013, having had no previous experience of circuit racing or even track days! My only experience of motorsport had been a small amount of co-driving in a rally car 10 years earlier. My first time on a track was doing my ARDS test at Silverstone! So I bought myself a championship winning car for my 30th birthday. It was a quick car so I knew I had no excuses… it was down to me! I was welcomed into the Mighty Minis gang with open arms and soon settled right in. My first year was spent at the back of the field learning about the car and the various circuits that we race at. Every year I have improved and now sit mid field.
