Description

If the name Mikuni rings a bell, odds are you've spent some time on two wheels. Moss is proud to have a relationship with this legendary motorcycle carburettor company and, in our ever-present quest to breathe new life into classic cars, we've developed a modern, performance carburettor system that's perfect for the MGB. In fact, it's revolutionary. This kit is only suitable for LHD MGB at present.

Right out of the box the Mikuni system is ready to bolt on a stock MGB and outperform whatever you've been using. Immediately you'll notice the improved throttle response that comes from the integrated accelerator pump. And you can tune this carb to work with engines built for higher revs and higher compression. The Mikunis design make them impervious to the ravages of modern fuels with ethanol, and can support more horsepower with more fuel flow than stock SUs.

The Mikuni system is more adjustable and easier to tune than either the Weber or SU carbs. Mikunis have replaceable needles, pilot jets and main jets. And they also feature adjustable accelerator pumps, throttle stops, idle screws, idle mixture screws and needle positions.

Moss designed a PCV kit (366-395) specifically for Mikuni carburettor applications for MGB years 1962 - early 1964, and 1970 - 1975. Mikuni carburettors do not have a port to route blow-by into as do SU carburettors for MGB and this PCV Kit resolves that issue.

This conversion kit does not come with air filters. Moss developed the carburettors using high performance filters with a classic design. Filters are part no 053-391.
