Bearing Kit, wheel hub, front, taper roller

Taper roller bearing kit for MG Midget, Austin-Healey Sprite and Morris Minor (from (c) 228267). The standard front hub bearings are angular contact ball bearing type, which works well but does not allow for any adjustment as the bearings wear. Taper bearings provide better support for fast road and competition applications. Our tapered bearing kit includes high quality bearings, seals, shims, split pin and nut and utilizes the standard spacer for a simple installation. The larger bearing has the correct 2mm fillet radius to allow proper fitment on the stub axle and has been specially manufactured to allow the hub to sit in the correct position so the caliper does not interfere with the disc.

This kit has been designed to fit correctly straight out of the box but owing to the possibility of wear inside the hub, the use of a 0.003" (ATB4240) or maybe a 0.005" (ATB4241) shim may be required to obtain the correct end float.

To fit Morris Minor, the original LH hub nut will require shaving to allow fitment of the split pin.
