    The RetroSound range of in-car radios has been created to meet the needs of classic car enthusiasts. This range of radio & MP3 players maintains the original ‘twin knob’ (DIN-D) style mounting required for many classic cars. This is a breakthrough in classic car radios offering flexible mounting options with traditional looks and modern music playing technology.

    RetroSound radios can play music from a variety of sources; MP3 and WMA files can be played directly from a USB Flash drive & now from an SD card through the rear card port. Alternatively an external source, such as an iPod or other MP3 player, can be played through the auxiliary rear input or front mini-jack socket. The use of the rear mounted full size USB, SD card port or auxiliary ports allows drives, SD cards or MP3 players to be left connected and out of sight.

    The AM/FM tuner now features RDS (FM only) capability with song title, station & other broadcast data, along with a 30 station preset memory to keeping all your favourite stations at the touch of a button.

    The built-in amplifier features 100 watt x 4 peak output (50 watt x 4 RMS), also with 4 channel pre-amp outputs (with fade & balance) for external amplification. The new RF remote control allows for complete concealment of the unit to keep an original look.

    Utilising RetroSound’s versatile “InfiniMount” adjustable shaft/bracket system (patent pending), allows the installer to create a customised installation, depending on the layout of the car’s fascia, or fit to an existing DIN-D aperture. The brackets allow for multiple positions of the control knobs. A range of faceplate & knob kits is available separately to allow greater customisation.

    The main body of the unit is compact & lightweight; it can be fitted in the fascia as required or mounted under the dash, using the U bracket supplied, for a simple installation. The unit’s compact size W = 90mm x D = 140mm x H = 40mm (W = 3.54" x D = 5.57" x H = 1.57") makes it ideal for many installations. The faceplate dimensions are W = 190mm x H = 56mm (W = 7.5" x H = 2.25")

    Model One
    This is the top of the RetroSound range. The Model One is available with a choice of either a black or chrome display surrounds and has a full range of features:

  • Rear mounted full size USB, SD card & auxiliary input leads (0.5m long) – allows drive & players to be hidden when connected

    Classic Sound
    The Classic sound is an entry level unit with lower specification. It shares many of the same features as the model one but does not have the rear USB, SD card or auxiliary inputs, it only features the front mounted mini-jack input.

    Fitment notes: The unit is supplied without a faceplate & knob kit. Please select the faceplate & knob kit to suit your requirements. This unit can be mounted in an existing DIN-D radio aperture or in a suitable position in the dash or console, please check all dimensions and take care if cutting or drilling your dashboard.
