Penrite Engine Oils
Modern lubricants do not necessarily suit older vehicles, the oils are oftebn too thin, and the additive packages suit today's advanced engineering and materials, not those used in the design and manufacture of your classic. Penrite oils are blended from high quality base stocks, combined with additives selected to give the best performance and reduced oil consumption whilst giving better oil pressure, increased engine protection and reducing the build up of sludge deposits. Penrite's philosophy of meeting and exceeding original requirements extends across their range of lubricants. Other lubricants and sizes from the Penrite range are available on our website.

Penrite Running-In Oil
Penrite running-in oil is designed to promote and control the bedding-in process of newly built engines. It should be used for the first 300 miles and then replaced with the appropriate grade of HPR oil.

Penrite Classic 20W-50 Engine Oil
A 20W-50 engine oil designed specifically for classic vehicles from the 1960's and 70's, this 20W-50 multi-grade standards. Like the original 20W-50 is a full-bodied, hard-wearing oil giving excellent film strength under the heaviest loads.

Penrite Classic Light – Heavy Engine Oils
A range of multigrade, low detergent, mineral oils specifically developed for 1950-80 era petrol & diesel engines. They contain the optimum quantities of modern additives to suit the vehicles of this period along with zinc for wear protection (equivalent to API SG/CD), there is no need for additional zinc ZDDP additives. These oils also exceed the originally required oil quality levels and provide protection against rust and corrosion when vehicle is not used for long periods whilst maintaining engine cleanliness and providing wear protection.

Classic Light 20W-60
Ideal for use in cooler ambient temperatures or where an old style 20W-50, 20W-40 or SAE 30 grade was originally recommended. Also suitable as engine/transmission oil in Mini and other BMC front wheel drive models.

Classic Medium 25W-70
Ideal for use in moderate ambient temperatures or as a summer grade if using Classic Light as a winter grade. Also replaces SAE 40 grades.

Classic Heavy 30W-70
Designed for use in high ambient temperatures or where an SAE 50 grade was originally recommended. Ideal for large-engined vehicles suffering from excessive oil consumption.

Penrite Shelsley Engine Oils
A range of oils designed for vintage and classic vehicles manufactured from 1920-1950. Utilising a carefully selected additive package to minimise sludge build up and foaming whilst allowing for improved low temperature pumpability whilst maintaining hot oil pressure.

Penrite HPR Performance Engine Oils
Full bodied multigrade full synthetic oils using carefully selected additive packages in high quality base stocks giving optimum hot oil pressure and providing the best possible protection for modern cars.

Penrite HPR 15W-60 Full Synthetic
Full synthetic engine oil specifically designed for use in older petrol engines in all types of vehicles including conventional, multi-cam, multi-valve, turbocharged and supercharged engines. Primarily, those that require SAE 15W-40, 15W-50, 20W-40 and 20W-50 engine oils. Not recommended for motorcycles.

Penrite HPR 10W-50 Full Synthetic

Full synthetic wide range viscosity engine oil developed to give the optimum balance between engine protection and fuel economy/power retention. Recommended for use in a wide range of vehicles built since 1996 including those that require 10W-40 and 15W-40 grade oils.
